is your skincare making you unwell?

Did you know that the chemicals in your skincare and personal care products can enter the body by:

  • inhalation,
  • ingestion,
  • injection,
  • eye contact and
  • skin contact?

Most of us are aware and careful about the first three ways. But are you aware of what you use on your skin or on your eyes everyday?

The following products could all possibly be a major factor in your health problems:

  • Face cleansers,
  • toners,
  • moisturisers,
  • aftershave balms,
  • shower gels,
  • shampoos,
  • conditioners,
  • makeup

I became very aware of this after I was diagnosed with M.E. As I was willing to do whatever it took to stop the debilitating exhaustion, and the constant flu-like symptoms, I took heed.

So I began my search for skincare products that were free from all the nasties; to name just a few:

  • alcohol,
  • ALS (Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate),
  • SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate),
  • Formaldehydes,
  • Gluten,
  • MI (Methylisothiazolinone),
  • mineral oils,
  • parabens,
  • petrochemicals,
  • phthalates,
  • synthetic fragrances,
  • triclosan,
  • unsustainable palm oils.

Many of these chemicals are highly toxic and people working with large quantities of them have to wear protective clothing!

I don’t think I realised just what a can of worms I was opening. It became a real challenge to find the ‘perfect’ range, which was ‘healthy’ and also wouldn’t break the bank!

People are becoming more and more aware of the potential dangers of what they are using on their skin. This means that many companies market their products as being completely ‘natural’ or ‘free from dangerous chemicals’, when they aren’t. And they use very careful wording to cover their claims!

The other major factor for me was cost. Due to being unable to work the hours I needed to, I didn’t have a lot of spare cash. I did however, and still do, make healthy personal cleansing and nutritional supplements a priority in my monthly budget.

I often found companies that ticked all the ‘non-toxic chemical’ boxes but not always the reasonably priced box.

A lot of products were only available online, with fairly long delivery times, or in shops that I didn’t have easy access to. I also found that I would need to buy one product from one company and one from another. I couldn’t seem to get everything I needed, or liked, from the one place.

Finally, after years of searching, I’ve found a company that ticks ALL the boxes!

  • Their products are pure, honest and effective
  • The premium natural ingredients are highly nutritional for the skin
  • All products are handmade
  • Delivery is very swift
  • They do not test any of their products, or ingredients, on animals
  • Prices are very reasonable and do not break the bank…hallelujah!

Better still, the first time I used the products I fell in love with every one of them! They feel luxurious, smell fresh and are good enough to eat!

My skin is glowing and I don’t have the dry, red patches I used to suffer with every now and then.

Remember though, it’s not just what you put on your skin that can irritate it; what you put in your body and your stress levels can have a detrimental or positive effect on your skin too! Drinking plenty of water is a must!

I liked the company and products so much that I became an Ambassador.

So, if you would you like to try the products for yourself, you can buy them from my online shop. Just click the link below to take you there.
